A group of S5/6 pupils from Whitburn Academy in West Lothian recently visited Cobra Simulation at the Alba Innovation Centre in Livingston.

The initiative is designed to support the development of pupils; their understanding and transition to the commercial world whilst at the same time helping small businesses like Cobra develop into new commercially viable areas.

As part of the project the new academic team will be responsible for developing a new area of the business for Cobra within the gaming and immersive industry.

Mrs Kathleen McDonald Business Link Co-ordinator for Whitburn Academy "Whitburn Academy pupils and staff are delighted to have formed this partnership with Alexander Bradley and Cobra Simulation. With many exciting proposals in the pipeline, we are looking forward to valuable experiences in the near future. We are confident that our young people will greatly benefit from a real insight into how a business develops a project in the commercial world and hope that we can contribute to the growth of our new business partner, Cobra Simulation."

Alexander Bradley Managing Director said “They did not teach me how to be an entrepreneur when I was at School but I see a change in that thought process and we are thrilled to be a part of that change. Our economies future is our children, the next great idea, the next revolutionary product is out there waiting to be found. We as today’s business founders must do everything we can to encourage and support kids of all ages to think differently about their careers. Personally I love to try new ideas and new ways to develop the business, if you don’t you simply get left behind, we have already successfully worked with a number of university academics and this will be the first time we have worked with an Academy. I look forward to the new project going live and sharing the details in Q3 2015”

Cobra Conference, the first of an impressive line-up of integrated suite solutions

on Monday, 22 June 2015. Posted in June 2015

Cobra Simulation today announced that it will make its Cobra Conference solution available to a global market. The Cobra Conference ™ is a state of the art fully integrated immersive high definition conferencing solution. The platform supports all windows based conferencing software. Using Cobras recommended software and partners you can make point to point or multi point high definition audio and video calls via a server based hardware configuration or cloud based platform.

Everything about the solution was designed with simplicity in mind. A single power on/off button ensures the system is ready to use in under a minute. A familiar simple interface allows users to call internally from a sign on/off list or dial to any one of 3 million existing conference facilities deployed worldwide.

Alexander Bradley Managing Director said “We like to listen to our customers and the Cobra Conference suite delivers on those customer needs. What is unique about the solution is that we set out to design a platform not a product. As such the Cobra Conference is just one of those platform applications and it delivers a great experience to companies wishing to save space, time and money whilst at the same time improving the experience for the users using high definition video conferencing.”

The Cobra Conference was first deployed in 2014 in partnership with the city of Edinburgh Council as part of the connected cities initiative at the Creative Exchange and has been well received. Seating up to 3 people it offers the user a much more personal and immersive experience during calls.

The 1.8m sweeping panoramic spherical display surrounds the users giving a greater sense of presence in the call. Deployed with the company’s recommended sound cancelling panels, Cobra was able to create a circular room to house the technology within an open plan area of the building. This great flexibility meant that existing rooms could be used for other applications.

The product was launched on the company’s website this week and has already caught the attention of industry specialists. To start saving money and find out more click IMMERSIVE SUITE
